It Starts With You: Taking Care of Ourselves, Taking Care of Our Students

Your work takes energy, passion, and commitment in order to nurture, heal, inspire, empower, and serve as a global change agents (or in other words, to move through the world as a school counselor!). Every day you do a big job, which only very special people are called on to do, moving through the world as a leader, a giver, a doer, a "go to" person, and an all-around overachiever. There are a lot of pieces that go into making this work, but the most important (and often forgotten) piece of this is YOU. How do you take care of yourself, so you can keep showing up to do what you do, in the incredible way only you can do it? This keynote highlights the most popular strategies from Carrie Stack's book, The Dream Boss: Powerful, Positive, Professional and supports participants to concretely apply models to their lives, at work and at home.
